CustomerServiceTypes.aspxThe Customer Service Types page provides a Description, together with Instructional text for each Request Type that is available for request via the web.
The requests will (if applicable) be presented in a hierarchical format and this means that higher level (ie parent) requests will be displayed first. The user can then either select a request type for lodgement (where allowed) or alternatively select the link which will take them to the next level down and this process can be repeated to ?drill down? to the required request type.
The user is able to select the type of request that they wish to lodge from the available list in each case above and in the example below several types are available for selection. In this case the user has selected the ?Water problems? link and then within that the ?Hydrant leaking? request type.
The instructional text helps identify the intended use for each request type and there may also be embedded ?links? present ? as demonstrated in the ?Water Restrictions? example.
The user will only be able to select Request types that they have been authorised to by council ? usually as part of the registration process. In the example below the user is not authorized to the ?ePathway Request? request type, so whilst they cannot lodge requests, they may still be able to list its child request types for lodgement. As part of the process, the request type selected here can then be linked to one or more locations (properties or streets - as applicable) that the user can search for as part of the request process.
Once the request type has been selected, the <Continue> button is selected to proceed with the request.
